In the municipality of Cuglieri , between S'Archittu and Santa Caterina di Pittinurri in a plateau called Campu 'e corra, it is possible to visit the ruins of an ancient city-state founded by the Carthaginians in the 6th century.C

The city was the protagonist of the Sardinian-Punic revolt against the Romans of 215 aC

The city consisted of an acropolis (the remains of the walls are visible) on the Corchinas hill and from artisan quarters and houses in the lowlands.

It became a Roman municipality in the Flavian or Trajan period and was a colony in the 3rd century, there are also the remains of a thermal plant

In the late ancient period, near the hamlet of Cornus, near the hamlet of Santa Caterina di Pittinuri, the Christian complex of Columbaris was built , with a vast cemetery that restored several sarcophagi and a first funerary basilical building, preceded by a baptistery (3rd-4th century)

Two other basilicas were built in the 5th-6th century, with other structures
