Dominated by the Malaspina castle, Bosa stretches, with its pastel-colored houses, on the right bank of the Temo river, the only navigable river in Sardinia, a couple of kilometers before the mouth.
The origins of the city date back to the Phoenicians, although the center was further back, on the left bank.
In medieval times, to escape pirate raids, the village moved to the slopes of the Serravalle hill seeking the protection of the Malaspina.
Declared a royal city by the Spaniards, Bosa has always maintained close contacts with the Iberian Peninsula.
Its charm is indisputable, with the buildings of Sas Conzas that are reflected in the calm waters of the river and the district of Sa Costa, all streets and stairways where a few women still sit at the door to work the filet.
Its sea has been declared by the environmental associations among the cleanest in Italy
