Santa Teresa di Gallura (SS)

Santa Teresa di Gallura, a town of about 5000 inhabitants in the far north of Sardinia was founded by King Vittorio Emanuele in 1808, renaming a place called Longosardo with the name of his wife Maria Teresa

The town follows the curves of two inlets, Porto Longone to the east and Rena Bianca bay to the west, a splendid beach with fine white sand a few meters from the town center

Its crystal clear waters with a thousand nuances have been repeatedly awarded the 'Blue Flag'

It is dominated by the Longosardo tower, built during the Aragonese dominion

Around Santa Teresa di Gallura there are many other beaches and coves with disruptive beauty, some large and equipped like Marmorata or the smaller and more suggestive Cala Sambuco and Cala Balcaccia, splendid places where you can spend hours snorkeling or diving.

Continuing, you will find the promontory of Capo Testa, the far north of the islandTwo beautiful beaches stretch along the isthmus that joins the peninsula-headland to the mainland: Rena di Ponente and Rena di Levante

In the western part of the cape, the spectacular Cala Lunga stands out, known as the Valley of the Moon, perhaps the best known symbol of Santa Teresa, splendid coves set in granite walls.
