Sant'Anna Arresi, renowned tourist destination thanks to the splendid beach of Porto Pino is a beautiful village of about 3000 inhabitants of Sulcis
It extends over a hill overlooking several coastal ponds (Porto Pino, di Maestrale, del Corvo, is Brebeis and Foxi) and is a habitat for various species of lagoon birds such as Flamingos and Knights of Italy
The town's name unites the patron saint with the Arresi nuraghe, around which in the 18th century the original nucleus of rural houses was born, which gradually gave life to the current town.
In 1986, in the Nuraghe square, a famous summer Jazz event has been held since 1986, animated by the best interpreters of the world jazz scene
The Nuragic age in Sant'Anna is also documented by an ancient source inside the town and by various other nuraghi and tombs of Giants in the countryside.
