Serramanna is a large rural village, where the proximity to the confluence point between the two basins of Flumini Mannu and Rio Leni, after the embankment works carried out in the 1900s, has allowed the take-off of a particularly varied and productive agricultural of a series of industrial initiatives.
The most interesting building in the town, which is largely made up of traditional Campidanese houses in adobe bricks, is the church of S. Leonardo, which leads back to the main road at the rear. It was built in two different eras and therefore presents a fusion of Gothic-Catalan, Aragonese and late-Baroque forms; the longitudinal nave and the bell tower were built between the 15th and 16th centuries, while the dome and apse between the 17th and 18th centuries.
The first settlements in the area, documented above all thanks to the discovery of the village of Cuccuru Ambudu, date back to a period identifiable between the era of the Culture of Ozieri and the Culture of Monte Claro.
The notable historical importance is the menhir Perda Fitta, a granite boulder representing the Mother Goddess, found in the homonymous area.
