Siniscola is a large town, the largest of the homonymous Barony at the foot of Mount Albo.
The proliferation of industrial, commercial and tourist activities, which have partially modified the old economic structure based on agriculture, is highlighted by the urban expansion of the last decades.
From the high contribution in money and in products indicated by the Pisan registers for the years 1317-18, it can be deduced that Siniscola was in the century. XIV one of the most important centers of the Giudicato of Gallura.
The medieval town must have coincided with the current central nucleus, on the sides of via Sassari, where the persistence of the denomination of some sites ("sa porta", "sa turrita" etc.) necessary, presumably in the early 16th century, from repeated pirate attacks.
