Monte d'Accoddi, sometimes written Akkoddi, is an important archaeological site, attributable to the Abealzu-Filigosa Culture (2700-2400 BC), of pre-Nuragic Sardinia.

Discovered during the great excavation campaigns of the second postwar period, due to the originality of its typology it is the only example of a large megalithic altar known throughout the western Mediterranean and from the construction technique that precedes the architecture of the subsequent Nuragic age. interesting chapter on the history and culture of prehistoric Sardinia.

The grandiose construction, which dates back to the Copper Age (2450-1850 BC), is inexpensive and gives an enormous accumulation of stones and earth, originally in the shape of a truncated pyramidal trapezoidal base similar to the
Mesopotamian "ziqqurat", supported by dry stone walls of large non-square blocks.

South side, a ramp exits at the top, about ten meters high, between the base which measures 30 m by 38. Around the mass of the altar there are numerous trovans foundations of huts, sacrificial tables and some menhirs
shot down.
A group of domus de janas (not easy to reach) is part of the complex.

The materials excavated in the area - especially ceramics are kept in the National Museum of Sassari
